Honk with Vigour Day

Today Dodo discovered he was an instrument, though thank fully not in the same way that Didi discovered she was a house (which is a whole other story…!) Dodo was just sitting around and not eating (but thinking about eating!) when Flappy fell on him after jumping off a nearby tombstone to prove to Ogd he could fly.

Having proved his point juts after jumping, Flappy decided to have a fall and landed on Dodo’s back.
Dodo gave an almighty honk as all the air in him escaped (some of it had almost given of hope of ever being released!) .

“Honk! Dodo!” said Dodo in breathless excitement

“Doily!” said Ogd, still unconvinced by Flappy’s ‘flying’ and regretting standing so close to Dodo as his Honk had a funny smell and left his skin itchy!

Fresh (well they smell strongly of something!) wallpapers featuring Dodo and Flappy have now been added to the Flickr account as well as a couple more Pop art style Dodo wallpapers (just because!) Flappy now has a face (and thankfully most of it is hidden by his hair and mutton chops!)

Dodo Calender

Dodo has a strange view on life, made worse by being so stupid and very short (there are many many more, but it would take too long and you would lose interest!) one of these is his own personal calender which he uses to mark important events, favourite smell and other randomness (and rarely in any order!).

Throughout the book are snippits of this strange object, a habit i will try to continue within the blog, allowing you a daily glimpse into Dodo’s mind.

Eventually a completed calender with exerpts from the Hamlyn Random almanac and short biographies on the months and seasons will be published aong with Dodo’s adventures.

Greetings all!

Many years ago i started sending out emails about a rat called Dodo and his various misadventures.As time went by (that being Times main occupation) the emails became chapters (some of them quite easily, others had to be bribed, threatened and one was just given a hat to make him look bigger!) and eventually a book.

To celebrate the completion of The (Unreal) adventure of  Dodo the Rat (and Friends) i thought i would start this blog, it will cover the book and chart my progress in getting it published and also add to the Dodoverse!

For those of you who have already met Dodo, more slices will be served, sorry and thank you!

For those of you who have not yet been exposed to Dodo, worry not for more will be revealed…

Bad taste in Mouth Day

On this day eat something new.Dodo suggests closing you eyes or tying it down first.

Today is dedicated to St Horace the Hollow, patron of Diaretics and urgent running.
