Some Pretty Words

Another one of the supporting sections in the first book is

kevin’s Dodo’s little Book of wordz potry Poety.

or Unhelpful rhymes for unruly children

It contains several poems and rhymes, some are based on events in the book, others about some of the characters.

There are also several traditional children’s rhymes which have been given the ‘Dodo’ treatment such as Humpty Dumpty, which i have printed in the pages section.

A Cast of thousands

Okay, bit if an exaggeration there, but almost right.

The first Dodo book has several other sections supporting (and distracting from!) the main story, one of which is the cast list. Listed within are the main characters who appear in the book and a little bit about them.But that is not all! Oh No!

Also included are many more characters, some were involved in the book in various ways, some were hiding just off the page and others were just included on a random whim (you will get a lot of that in Dodo!) for example…

Marks the Pen;

Marks was one of the pens used to write Dodo in the early days, back when it was little more than a pamphlet and just dreaming of a hard binding!

Marks is worth mentioning as it was the only transvestite pen used.When not Dodo’ing, Marks went by the name of Helen and moonlighted at the Savoy Grill as a fine silver and Armadillo shell fountain pen used by the bookings desk.
