Brown Pebble Day

Didi had decided to have a garage sale, Dodo went along and was surprised to see she had some little brown pebbles just like he did sometimes.Didi explained that she had thought about having a rockery and then got distracted by hunger and eaten the pebbles, not very nice but filling! later she had found the brown pebbles and kept them for her next sale.

Dodo decided not to have the pebbles and settled on a tape worm that had been living in Didi’s garage and grown to big for it. Didi hadn’t called it squatter as it hadn’t paid any rent, Dodo called Wriggle and then supper.

June 7th

Not Noted Day

Today Dodo thought he would do something nice for Didi as an apology for not reading the notes she had not left him.She had worked it out in her head and was most annoyed by how she knew he would have acted and called him over to tell him.Dodo was left dazed and confused, even more than normal so he gave her a little morsel he had been saving (his mouth was already full) and then left her alone. He also promised to read any more notes she had not written!

June 6th

No lesson Day

Today Didi thought it would be a good idea to try and teach Dodo to read, that way she could leave little notes around for him.

“Doily!” said Ogd, touched by the obviously close feelings Didi had for her brother.

“Didi!” said Didi clarifying exactly how she felt about her brother, and how she really just wanted a way to say ‘Go away!’ without actually having to see him.

Unfortunately Didi remembered she couldn’t read either so she just threw something at Dodo when she saw him next.

And the moral of the day…sometimes knowledge only works if you all have it, the advantage is knowing how to use it.

June 3rd

Open Day

Today is hiding and has refused to come out, unless it is to be eaten by the Calender mice as a mercy killing.The day did leave a garbled note saying it had seen to much and just wanted to end it all, apparently Didi was thinking of moving house and decided to have a good throw out and clean and then have an open house day and invite everyone round to view, with the option of buying or renting.The details sent the day into shock.

When asked later about the day, Dodo said “Dodo!” and confirmed that Didi had been disappointed with the turnout and had no serious offers!

June 2nd

Not Wheel Day

Dodo broke a nail today, actually he broke all ten. He had been growing them for some times as  they were great places to grow and store food (well stuff he would eat!).They had been left ungnawed for so long they had curled in on themselves and when he balled a paw they looked like he had wheels.

Inspired by Didi’s offer to push him (she had actually told him to push off before she did it for him!) he balled all his paws at once, until he resembled a rat on wheels, dirty yellow wheels that didn’t move. But it couldnt last and the weigh of Dodo and Didi pushing him broke them all!

No more wheel fun for Dodo, though it did give him something crunchy to eat with all the nail and toe stuff he had been cultivating, sort of like thin swirly crackers but wrong!

May 31st

Warm Trickle Day

Today Dodo was relaxing with Dead Vole and Didi.Ogd and Flappy were still asleep after being up all night with the ball, and pushing each other off it.

Dodo was happy and relaxed, so much so he wet himself and was asked to leave.Sometimes you can be just too relaxed with others, and warming others feet with your last drink is rarely taken as a compliment!

May 30th

Fall Off Day

‘Costumes’ all ready, Dodo and the rest of the gang couldn’t wait any longer and started the ball early.

Dodo fell off the ball first when they it hit Flappy, who no one realised was a hill, followed by Didi who had confused everyone…a rat posing as a rat based on bits of a hedgehog on a house!

Dead Vole was very glad he was dead, as were most of Dodo’s corns/beetles!

In the end the ball was very nice and still quite tender in part, they even saved an eyeball for Dead Vole and promised to dig Flappy up soon!

May 27th

Hedgehog Suit Day

Didi wasnt too sure about the dressing up  but was looking forward to the ball so she had a go anyway.

She initally thought about going as a small flat (one bedroom with en suite and a feature kitchen dinning room living area!) when she was clearly the whole building but feared the subtly would be lost on them so she decided to come as a rat!

Wanting it to be a surprise she didn’t shave Dodo for his fur but used an old hedgehog skin she had found by the pathway and for a tail she tied two worms together and trapped one end in her back door!

As a final touch she stuck two mushrooms to the side of her hedgehog bonnet to make ratty ears!

May 17th

House Louse Day

Today Dodo thought he would try and be like his sister Didi, but he couldn’t even get on the bottom of the ladder!

Didi was glad she had moved on top of one of the larger tombstones away from her brother being daft, knowing he would eventually get around to bothering her and bringing down the value of the area!Dodo tried to claim squatters rights but ending up begging to be a tin shack next door.

Eventually Dodo gave up entirely, even more confused than normal about everything and decided to frent next time!

May 10th

Cowering Day

Dodo and friends are still hiding today from Zeppelin and his organ ( and grinder), they are not sure why, but better safe than sorry.

Dodo once met Safe the rat and he used to hide from everything, Dodo only found him by mistake when he though he was a mushroom (Safe had quite a big head!) Didi told Dodo about Sorry the rat after he told her about the hairy mushroom he found, Didi said that Sorry the rat had finally been cured of his obsession with cats…by being eaten by one.
