Hollowed Out Day

Dodo forgot to eat today, weak and delerious the others dropped him face down onto some food just to stop him from moaning. When he recovered Dodo was unable to explain how he forgot to eat, especially as he did very little else.Ogd has started taking bets on Dodo forgeting to breath next, Dodo just started turning blue, though might have been because he hadn’t eaten an airhole yet

New Page

Just added a Who’s who to the Pages.

This is not an exhaustive biography of each character, which would just be exhausting, just a brief to help understand the daily diary!

Slicking Hair Day

Today is Dodo’s annual hair slicking  and grooming day.

Normally Dodo wouldn’t worry what he looked like, though it actually took a lot of effort to stay as filthy matted as him, but it would eventually get too much even for him and he has to spend some time pruning (mmm yummy time!) the larger fungus, gnawing off the heavier twigs that have got stuck to him and most importantly push (bend/fold/hammer!) his fur back until it sort of faces the same way.

The furring is not out of vanity but rather necessity as it helps Dodo to work out which end of him is which and which way he is facing!

Headstub Day

Today Dodo tries not to move for fear of his fate!

As a small ratlet he accidentally (it was attached to someone he was eating!) ate an amulet of a God of Fate, Tepid!

Luckily for Dodo, Tepid is only a minor god of fate who has control of things like the way your toast falls or if you have an allergic reaction to the letter M! Thus Dodo was fated to stub his head on this day every year.Nothing of value is ever damaged, though a spotters club has been founded and gather each year to watch him do it!

They call themselves The Dodo in Pain Spotters or DIPs for short.

Smell of Me Day

Today Dodo finished digging/eating his way out of Dead Tramp (the way in had caved in/flopped in!) and enjoy the smell of freedom…which smelt a lot like a rat that had been buried in a dead body for three days (and moved around a lot while he was!) and had probably done it before!

Just how Dodo liked it.

A bit confused as to why he had been in the tramp in the first place he wandered off home, chewing on an old bit of appendix (not his!) trying to remember why he would look for a sardine in a dead tramp!

Today is dedicated to St Fishfinger, who was also the patron of inappropriately placed fish (frozen or otherwise) and of unwanted lingering smells.

New Tramp Hole Day

Still Under Dead Tramp Dodo decided to have a little nose around….

…the rest of the day was ruined by Parchment Turtles who failed utterly to catch a calender mice after failing to take into account their inability to ‘Jump out’ at anything! They also misjudged the angle of the page and slid down the page, scattering and smudging words everywhere before one of them tore a whole and fell through, the other one managing to catch hold of a sharp comment and pull hiimself back from the edge.

Under Tramp Day

Today Dodo had a bit of thought, the others were really impressed, less so with the straining sound and bad smells which had left Flappys furr all white and greasy as he was the closest! (Flappy wasn’t that bothered by the greasy bit, the white just worried him!)

“Dodo!” said Dodo and the others agreed a game of sardines was a mighty fine idea and even suggested he hide first.

Dodo agreed and went to hide and the others counted to a hundred (well, Doily, Didi, one hundred and nothing!) before wandering off to do their own thing and Dead Vole just lay on the ground, all happy in the knowledge that they would have a good couple of days before Dodo wandered back!

Dodo hid under Dead Tramp and giggled, he was so good at sardines, they could never find him!

Bum Shuffle Day

When know one is looking Dodo likes to do a little shuffle……

…thankfully the rest of the day was ruined by parchment Turtles who had tried to ambush a calender mouse but tripped up and slid down the page and through the spine into today.

The mouse got away unharmed apart from a tender feeling in his belly after laughing so much at the sight of two eager then terrified Turtles hurtling by.

One Turtle ( Linear B) was left making small circles as he was caught on a staple.

Dead Parasite Day

Dodo has a varied and rich collection of skin disorders and infections, today Dodo was saddened by the death of several of the larger fungal parasites. Having been allowed to grow unchecked (well, actually Dodo checked them a lot, usually to show them off and see if they were big enough to eat yet!) they gained consciousness (Mother nature actually does this more often than you would think…she thinks its funny!) realised who they were , where they were and after a brief chat with each other they all committed suicide!
No notes were left as to why, but if you woke up to being part of Dodo…

RIP

MrRoom, MissRoom and TishRoom.

Pink Snake Day

Dodo felt as bit out of sorts today, he had had a bad dream about being chased round and round by a snake, it might have been the bad food he had eaten, but the ‘food’ he usually ate was bad.

Dodo didn’t like snakes, he had been afraid of theme ever since he was followed by one for several days, and no matter where he went it would follow him.Eventually his parents had stopped laughing and told him it was just his tail!

Being so slow, Dodo had accepted it was his tail (repeated attempts at trying to eat it had confirmed it for now!) but the part where it wasn’t a snake was still trying sinking in!
